The Welsh Senate of Older People is an amalgamated force, combining 57 organisations of older people, to work together to empower older people across Wales to have a stronger voice.  The first meeting took place at Dyffryn Gardens in 2007, when 22 representatives met to discuss common issues and areas of working.  Since then the Welsh Senate of Older People Steering Group has met on a regular basis to develop both a constitution and agree on four key priority areas.  The four key priority areas are; Income; Age Discrimination; Health Care; and Engaging with Older People.
